An easy way to follow us

22 September 2009

For those of you who use Twitter, there’s now an easy way to make sure you don’t miss posts about the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival: Follow our hashtag.

Hashtags are a way to tag Tweets with related words and concepts. You can follow hashtags, thereby enabling you to view any Tweet that uses the hashtag, regardless of whether you are following the person who posted the Tweet. As you can’t possibly follow everyone, hashtags are a great way to stay in touch with posts about a particular topic.

For the Ubud Writers Festival, we’re using the hashtag #UWRF. We’d ask anyone who posts on Twitter about the Festival to please include the hashtag (#UWRF) in their tweet.

To make it easy for you to follow the hashtag, we’ve set up an account at Follow us there (you just need your Twitter ID) and you will be able to see all the posts tagged #UWRF, plus any tagged media as well. During the Festival, we plan to use the Twubs features to give a “live window” on events as they happen.
